A New Sealing Solution for Precision Parts & Electronics – Low-Energy, Eco-Friendly UV Gasket

UV Gasket is a type of gasket sealing material that relies on ultraviolet (UV) light curing technology as its core. It is usually applied by coating or dispensing liquid resin, which then instantly cures when exposed to UV light, forming a gasket protective material with elasticity and sealing performance.


1. Process Decarbonization (Energy Saving → Reduce Carbon Dioxide Emissions in the Process)

Instant curing reduces energy consumption: Traditional thermosetting gaskets require high-temperature baking (150–200 °C for tens of minutes to several hours), which consumes a lot of energy; UV gasket only needs UV light exposure to cure, significantly reducing energy consumption.
Room temperature operation: No additional heating or long baking time required, reducing carbon emissions.


2. Improve material utilization (High material utilization → Reduce resource consumption and process carbon emissions)

In-place forming (FIPG): Liquid dispensing, deposited as needed, no need for cutting or stamping gaskets, and no scrap waste is generated.
Precise coating: Automated equipment controls the amount of adhesive, reducing overuse and material waste.


3. Product lightweighting and durability (lightweight + durable → reduces carbon emissions from replacement and disposal)

Lightweight: Compared with traditional rubber gaskets, the UV Gasket is thinner, yet its sealing performance is still sufficient to meet water and dust resistance requirements.
Extended lifespan: Good weather resistance reduces the frequency of product maintenance or replacement.

 


4. Materials are designed for recyclability (recycling design = supports reuse and recycling, reduces the carbon footprint of raw materials)

Reworkable formulation: During the product recycling stage, parts can be reused through UV reprocessing or solvent disassembly.
Low VOC, renewable monomers: Some UV resin formulations can use bio-based acrylates and environmentally friendly photoinitiators to reduce dependence on petrochemicals.


5. Low-carbon contributions from the application side

Waterproof packaging for electronic products: mobile phones, tablets, automotive controllers → reduces repair rates, extends lifespan.
Automotive electronics: Replace traditional silicone gaskets, shorten processing time, and reduce energy consumption in the manufacturing of automotive electronic modules.
